    A third party that is required to register under subsection 349.6(1) — or under subsection 353(1), if it was not required to register under subsection 349.6(1) — shall open a separate bank account for the sole purpose of its partisan activities that are carried out or to be carried out during a pre-election period or an election period, partisan advertising, election advertising and election surveys.
