Enforcement of overseas forfeiture and restraint orders

s. 14 — Enforcement in UK of overseas forfeiture and restraint orders
s. 14(1)

In each of the following paragraphs of Schedule 4 to the Prevention of Terrorism (Temporary Provisions) Act 1989 (enforcement of overseas orders providing for the forfeiture or restraint of terrorist funds), namely—there shall be inserted, after sub-paragraph (2), the sub-paragraph set out in subsection (2) below.

paragraph 10 (which relates to enforcement in England and Wales),

s. 14(1)(b)

paragraph 20 (which relates to enforcement in Scotland), and

s. 14(1)(c)

paragraph 30 (which relates to enforcement in Northern Ireland),

That sub-paragraph is—

Section 9 of the Criminal Justice (International Co-operation) Act 1990 (enforcement of overseas forfeiture orders) shall have effect, and be deemed always to have had effect, with the insertion, after subsection (1), of the following subsection—

The enactments mentioned in Schedule 2 to this Act are hereby repealed to the extent specified in the third column of that Schedule.

s. 16 — Short title, interpretation, commencement and extent.

This Act may be cited as the Proceeds of Crime Act 1995.

Subject to subsections (4) to (6) below, this Act shall come into force on such day as the Secretary of State may by order made by statutory instrument appoint, and different days may be appointed under this subsection for different purposes.
